About SFX Exposition

The decennial Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St Francis Xavier, popularly known as “Goencho Saib”, will be held between November 21, 2024, and January 5, 2025, at Sé Catedral in Old Goa

The Church in Goa and Daman, along with the Universal Church, is preparing for the Jubilee Year 2025. Pope Francis chose the theme “Pilgrims of Hope” for this spiritual event. The theme chosen for the Solemn Exposition is “Xubhvortomanache Porgottnnar ami”/“We are Messengers of the Good News.”

A special Logo has been designed for the event. The Theme and Logo focus on every Christian’s responsibility to spread the message of Love, Hope, and Peace to the four corners of the world.

How To Get There

Novena & Mass Services

St. Francis Xavier is considered the Patron of Goa. The Novena to St. Francis Xavier is held every year from November 25th to December 2nd and is attended by thousands of people, including people from other faiths, from different states across India and countries across the world. During the Exposition, special masses will be held at the Sé Catedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus.

Parking Arrangements

DOs & DON'Ts

a) The Exposition is a religious event. Please maintain the sanctity.
b) Silence is to be maintained at all times.
c) Arrive on time for religious services.
d) Walking is part of the pilgrimage and is a form of penance and prayer. Follow the queue system for veneration.
e) Please dress respectfully. Avoid immodest dressing.
f) Keep your mobile phones on silent mode during Mass and veneration.
g) Photography inside the Cathedral and of the Sacred Relics is not allowed.
h) Do not eat or drink while inside the Church or for religious services.
i) Let us care for our common home – mother Earth. Avoid use of plastics.
j) Use the garbage bins and keep the surroundings clean.
